About

Perk and Pearl

Perk and Pearl first began life in 2013 when I opened my small shop in Royal Tunbridge Wells. For those of you who visited, you'll perhaps remember me, standing behind the counter, weighing out and grinding my freshly roasted coffee beans to order - the aroma of fresh coffee wafting down the street.

Having worked in the coffee industry for many years and training as a Master Barista with Gaggia Milano, I am passionate about providing nothing but the best coffee experience. It is with this knowledge and experience that I bring you my collection of coffees which are all roasted by hand every week, here in the heart of Kent. The bricks and mortar shop is now closed, however you can continue to experience the same high level of service and freshly roasted quality coffees here in our online store.

All of my coffees are ethically sourced from farmers that are paid a premium for their hard work and efforts. I am particularly proud to be able to offer you the wonderful Cafe Femenino coffee from Peru. This coffee is produced by a collective of women farmers who are changing the role of women in rural coffee communities. Because of this initiative, women coffee growers have become better educated, organised and for the first time are producing women's coffee as a specialty commodity.

Our coffees are roasted in very small batches, which means that they are not only exceptionally fresh but also this means that you can get to choose the colour of your roast - check out my roast guide for more information. All of my coffees come with free Uk delivery, so you don't have to but a small mountain of beans just to get your free shipping!

Coffee travels a long way to get here, so doing the best I can for the environment is very important to me, that's why all of the paper bags we use to pack the coffee in are recyclable and produced from a sustainable and renewable source. Speaking of the packaging - I'm going "Old-School" with our branding - I'll be hand stamping our logo on every bag myself - my own kind of seal of approval as it were!

So please do have an explore around my online store and I am sure you'll discover some stunning premium quality, freshly roasted coffees.
